Arriving on the island
Your holiday begins as soon as you land when you are greeted at the airport by your personal valet service who will transport your party to the unit, take care of your luggage and show you to your apartment where you will be given instructions on the use of the buggy and arrangments confirming a pick up time to collect your luggage and transport you either back to your plane or the jetty at the end of your holiday
Facilities on the Island
Guests are able to use all the facilities on the island i.e. pools, restaurants etc, there is the clownfish club available for a fee to entertain the little ones if mum and dad need some time on their own
Water sports are also available for a fee but there are 4 different pools to explore ( including our own private pool and spa complete with overhead shade cloth in the hot summer months and solar heated in the cooler months) day trips can be arranged to visit Whitehaven Beach, the Reef or take a trip by Fantasea to Airlie Beach for some additional shopping although there are a number of shops on the island
Besides a variety of restaurants there is also a dinner cruise or for something different the Night Safari tour complete with aussie sing song around the campfire is a great hit with adults and children
Wedding Parties
These units make a wonderful base for family weddings, as they cater for all age groups with the convenience of being able to put small children to bed and the adults are able to enjoy drinks on the patio while enjoying the wonderful water views and sunsets - our unit comes complete with portable cot, high chair and stroller - we also have a lovely grassed area in front with tropical gardens
Also for added convenience there is a local supermarket on the mainland which delivers groceries to your unit 4 days a week -they will gladly fax you an order form which you fill in and fax back to them - there is a great saving to be made especially on items like soft drinks

Fantastic apartment and location. Kids could run wild on the grass and beach and have their own bedroom at night. Loved the buggy as well as buckets/spades/CD player/DVD & hi-chair. Had a ball!
Spent 1 week in July on Hamilton Island, staying in the unit, Franipani F5.
The occassion was my 60th birthday, and I was joined on the Island by 21 relations and friends.
My accommodation was excellent, it was large, and came with everything needed to feel right at home.
Great accomodation for families with plenty of space for the kids to run around out in the garden. The apartment was stocked with absolutely everything including beach gear and a pram and stroller. Diane was great to talk to and made the booking process very easy. She even rang us when we arrived to make sure everything was ok- great service- thankyou, we had a great time.
We had a wonderful stay even though the weather was a little colder than what I thought it would be, it didn't hinder us at all. We have been to Hamiliton Island once before and stayed in the appartments. We got a great deal but we found the accomodation & ability to eat at home, especially when your kids are all tuckered out wasn't quite what our family needed. This time we thought we would try something different and Frangipani F5 was fantastic. I have 3 children one of which was a baby and it catered for all of us, bedding wise, kitchen wise and entertainment wise. The owners were only too pleased to help us with every question or request we had which makes planing your family holiday a breeze. The ability to shop and have it delivered was fantastic and really saved on going out, which anyone with little children knows how hard that can be. Being on the ground floor was a bonus to us too, prams etc, and the kids had a nice grassed bit to play on out the front. Cant forget the buggy, great fun for all of us & a great saving having it included in your stay. All in all this is one of the nicest family places I have stayed that included everything.
This is a great well maintained apartment, ideal for young families. Being on the ground floor makes it very accessible for prams etc. and easy to access the beach. The facilities provided ie high chair, portacot and stroller were in good condition. There was nothing that the apartment didn't have that we required. Hamilton Is itself is great for kids. The zoo was worth visiting and our daughter loved the kids club. We had good, reasonably priced meals at the Mariner's Tavern and the Red Emporer.
We would thoroughly recommend staying at Frangipani F5.
Frangipani F5 - a gem in an absolute piece of paradise! Dianne has seen to it that your comfort is paramount with all the amenities she offers in her apartment!
From DVD's for rainy days to snorkelling equipment for hot sunny days, Frangipani F5 has it all.
The setting is perfect, yet private - with the ocean just about lapping at your front door. We couldn't have wished for a better location!
The use of the buggy was great and enabled us to get around the island with ease.
Thanks for everything Dianne, I was really upset to leave this beautiful island! I would not think of staying in any other apartment on the island!
This is a fabulous unit with breathtaking views and only a moments walk to the beach and pool. Everything we needed was supplied and the buggy was a great bonus. We wish we could have stayed for longer than the 5 nights and definitely hope to return soon.
This unit was just fantastic and just what we were looking for. You have thought of everything, from the kitchen to the selection of DVDs, CDs and books. The unit had excellent comfortable facilities for ourselves, and our 2 year old and 6 week old daughters. The pool was brilliant for little kids and nice and quiet compared to the resort pools. The large under-cover outside area was also a good place to spend the afternoon when it rained (and was a good,safe, play area). Thanks!!!
We are so happy we chose to stay at the Frangipani F5 Unit for our Hamilton Island stay. It was such a spacious, well-equiped and homely unit for our family. We just wish we stayed seven nights instead of five! The buggy was an added bonus - we would have been lost without it as we explored so much of the island. The pool nearby is fantastic too! We will be back next year for our 10th Wedding Anniversary. Thanks for everything, Dianne.
We had a wonderful stay at Frangapani 5. It is a very spacious unit. We had ample room for my husband and myself and two young men. The location was very convenient - within walking distance to the main resort with is a real bonus if the golf buggy is in use by others. We recommend the turtle Chase and snorkelling adventure. Also cheaper to take the wind surfing lesson @ $7.00 and ample time to practice rather than hiring one for $28.00.
Very well equiped kitchen. The BBQ outside our unit was great also.
