Toorak is a bit like the Melbourne\'s Beverley Hills. There are some very fancy houses here that you can drive by and have a squiz at. There are also some fancy boutiques to shop at too..
Secluded and expensive homes in leafy cul-de-sacs contrast with the glitzy in -your- face Chapel St with its honky boutiques and multicultural rstaurants. Toorak Road versus Chapel street is old money rubbing shoulders with the wannabees. Its fun to observe and even better to join in the parade.
Experience how the \'other side\' lives, if you are a humble middle class person such as me... And walk the exciting and interesting strip of Chapel street. Great shopping. My favourite is right down the \'cheap end\' where an hour can easily disappear in the Bazaar on Chapel
If you visit Melbourne don\'t miss Toorak. It is just few minutes drive from the CBD. Place where rich people live. Big mansions, lovely gardens, expensive cars... I love it. I like driving around during the night that it looks even prettier.
Toorak would have to be the most expensive suburb of Melbourne. It has beautiful mansions, good schools and expensive shops and restaurants. It still retains a little old world charm, especially Toorak Village which is the where the shops and cafes are located.

One of Melbourne\'s poshest suburbs, the neighbourhoods in Toorak are jaw-dropping. Some nice restaurant along Toorak Road and right near Chapel Street.
